The book of Ecclesiastes can be one of the more puzzling books of the Bible. Some question why gospel hope seems absent, but others note that the writer paints a remarkable Christ-shaped silhouette where the darkness is masterfully painted in with the fullness of Him “in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” We can read Ecclesiastes with the benefit of knowing the whole story - that the puzzling aspects of life connect to create a coherent picture. We will learn how this book points to Christ as the satisfaction of our restless pursuits. Together, we will apply the truths presented by the author to better understand what is happing in the world today. This will inform our witness and reshape our appetites so that we may embrace life with new vigor and purpose. (Note: This class will not meet on Apr. 2 or Apr. 9)

“As a believer in Jesus, you are in an invisible war every day. It’s unseen and unheard, but it affects your life and everything that matters to you… Jesus has not left you unarmed, and the enemy always fails when he meets a woman properly dressed. The Armor of God, (based on Ephesians 6:10-20), more than merely a biblical description of the believer’s inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory.”
