• Did you know that isolation, sadness and depression are on the rise among adults and teens?
• Have you ever had a friend, family member, or co-worker who seems to be going through a difficult time, and you wanted to help them, but really didn’t know how to approach them, or what to say that would be helpful?
• Have you ever had someone in your life who is very needy, perhaps someone who wants to call or text or just be with you way more than you can handle, but whom you find it hard to back away from?

This class addresses situations such as these from a Christian perspective with the purpose of motivating, equipping and training us to care for those who are going through hard times without becoming overwhelmed by their needs. Topics include Jesus’ mandate and scriptural examples, ways to connect and earn people’s trust, the art of listening, maintaining healthy boundaries, and ways to bring Jesus into our conversations. Classes include scripture study, video, testimonies, guest speakers, panel discussion, role playing and group sharing.

Adults and teens welcome.
